When sci-fi thriller "Westworld" premiered last year, it immediately gathered a lot of loyal followers. The series' ratings was a complete success, and so no one can blame fans at all if they are getting impatient about any updates for Season 2.
It can be remembered that the series experienced some delays before it was finally aired last year. A lot of people are expecting the same thing to happen again for Season 2, and reports say the series may not come back until 2018.
Jimmi Simpson's character, Screen Crush said, has been outed as a younger version of Ed Harris' Man in Black, but recently, there have been rumors circulating that William may be back for the upcoming season. Simpson said that his involvement with Season 2 is unclear, but if the show has a role for William, he added that it will be a different story.
According to Cinema Blend, Simpson also said that the "Westworld" set is the "greatest set" he has ever worked on. Simpson added that we are all speculating about what Season 2 would be like, but added that he would not be surprised if William showed up for Season 3.
In the series finale, it was revealed that William was actually the younger villain and that his love affair with Dolores was occurring decades prior to the main timeline of the show. It did conclude his storyline in the series and bringing him back is going to introduce a whole new plot for "Westworld."
But Simpson said that if he does not return to "Westworld," his involvement with the show is a wonderful experience for him. He said that it is the work that he is proudest of. "A lot of times, I do work either on stage or on small-scale television that a lot of people miss. It's so nice to feel proud of something that people are engaged in," Simpson said.
