‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ Spoilers: Story Behind The Skywalker Light Saber Revealed

"Star Wars" fanatics are really excited to know what will happen in the next installment of the series and they are scouring for any information available to give some clues and insights on what will happen. Some have tried asking directly the celebrities starring in the film, like Josh Gad who relentlessly asked Daisy Ridley for some spoiler in the upcoming film. With "Force Awakens" movie laying out the foundations, there will be some interesting things to happen.

One of the most popular question among fans is what the state of the universe is after the events of "Force Awakens". According to Slash Films, there will be another war brewing after the First Order was revealed of their evil deeds. However, the Republic is not in the perfect state to stand against Snoke and his minions because of the damage caused by the Starkiller Base in the previous movie.

Another hot topic among the fans is the story behind the Skywalker light saber and how it ended in the hands of Maz Kanata who gave the prized weapon to Rey. The answers to the secret lie behind a series of the most recent "Star Wars" titled 'Aftermath' penned by Chuck Wendig. This trilogy of books has already provided a huge amount of backstory information to the events happened in the seven movies.

In the books, there are cults and collectors called The Acolytes of the Beyond who collected items connected to the Force and memorabilia from famous personalities throughout the whole universe. The story tells that the Acolytes have gotten their hands on a light saber which they believe to originally belong to Darth Vader himself as stated by Express. As we all know Luke will get his hands on the lightsaber again the movie "The Last Jedi" and hopefully a good backstory will be given on how the weapon ended with Rey after the last duel between Vader and Luke in Cloud City.
