‘Yuri!!! On Ice’ Season 2 Will Feature The Life Of Yuri Katsuki In Danger, Fans Might Not Wait Long For Season 2

Fans have been clamouring for any update regarding season 2 of "Yuri!!! On Ice" and it looks like they don't have to wait that long, as reports are saying October 2017 will be the release date. Lead character Yuri Katsuki will also be dealing with life-threatening issues in season 2.

According to a report from Korean Portal, there are a lot of rumours pointing to an October 2017 release for season 2 of the hit anime series. There is no confirmation regarding this release date, though.

The report adds that it's also highly unlikely for "Yuri!!! On Ice" to return by October of this year, and it would probably take the producers longer to release the show. But with the anime series being a hit with the fans, having a season 2 would be in the best interest of the show's creator and producers.

One of the things that make the "Yuri!!! On Ice" fans crave for a second season is the fact that Yuri only won silver during the Grand Prix Final during the finale episode of season 1. Fans wanted to see Yuri win gold and since he only won silver in season 1, they would be looking for him to win the gold medal in season 2.

The report said that fans would also want to see Yuri continue to train under Viktor Nikiforov, the Russian figure skater coach and choreographer of Yuri and also his love interest, and see how both of them would work in achieving the gold medal goal. If season 2 will indeed happen, one rumoured storyline centres on Yuri's past.

ASZ News reports that one storyline that season 2 is rumored to be working on is a revisit of the lead character's painful past. This revelation would prove to be challenging for Yuri, which could "prove to be fatal for him."
