‘The Blacklist: Redemption’ Episode 2 Preview: Scottie’s Close Family Journalist Friend Arrested For Espionage, The Halcyon Team Tries To Rescue Him

Episode 2 of "The Blacklist: Redemption" will have a family friend of Scottie Hargrave (Famke Janssen) wrongfully arrested in a foreign country on charges of espionage. This prompts the Halcyon team to make a last ditch effort to rescue him.

The sneak peek preview for episode 2, which is entitled "Kevin Jensen," showed that Scottie will be asking her team on a dangerous mission to save her friend, even if the government is telling her to stand down. The team doesn't seem to have any objection, but Matias Solomon (Edi Gathegi) do ask "how in the hell" are they supposed to rescue Scottie's friend in a dangerous foreign country.

The preview also showed that the team was somehow able to rescue the prisoner, but is still not out of the woods as they would still need to get out of the place. The synopsis for the episode mentions that Scottie's close friend is an American journalist.

The last scene of the preview shows Scottie seemingly talking to Tom Keen (Ryan Eggold) about her missing son Christopher. She said that before her husband died, he hired someone to track down their son, and she would find him if there is a chance that he's still out there.

CarterMatt reports that episode 2 will be the "make-or-break" episode for "The Blacklist: Redemption" series. This will be the episode where most of the cards will be placed on the table.

The trailer also showed pretty much "a longer look at the season" than just what will happen on the episode. As for the episode itself, the report said it's using a "tired-and-true crime TV trope" but with some twist.

CarterMatt said technically speaking, most of the heroes in the show are villains who work together to do something good once in a while before going back to their old ways. Check out the preview for episode 2 of "The Blacklist: Redemption" in the video below.
