DC's "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 finale is fast approaching though the official plot are set to announced in the future, producer Marc Guggenheim posted on Twitter a list of the cast appearing in the finale. This came as a shock as the names triggered more questions regarding the most anticipated conclusion. Among the controversial figures are Wentworth Miller and Katie Cassidy who will be back on the time-traveling show.
According to Carter Matt, the characters of Miller (Leonard Snart/Captain Cold) and Cassidy (Laurel Lance/Black Canary) are currently dead in the present timeline. They may reappear as a alternate universe version or a past version of themselves. Considering that the protagonists are riding a time machine, anything will go among the particular versions of the characters.
As we all know, Cassidy has been an regular at TV series "Arrow" for four seasons until her death in the hands of Damien Darhk. After that, we've only seen her as part of flashbacks and in Oliver Queen's mind as hallucinations. However, Cassidy was given another role as the Black Siren, the Earth-2 version of Laurel in another DC series, "The Flash".
Black Siren was also featured on crossovers to some episodes of "Arrow" until she was imprisoned in ARGUS. In is possible that Cassidy will return not as the Black Canary but as the Black Siren in the finale as the full force of the Legion of Doom is known to make an appearance.
Another surprising character appearing in the finale is the legendary British author J.R.R. Tolkien who is famous for his "The Hobbit" and "The Lord of the Rings" trilogies as reported by Entertainment Weekly. The finale will be featuring a young version of Tolkien that will be played by the "Stitchers" star Jack Turner. Tolkien's role for the finale is still under wrap but basing his works, Tolkien will have something to do with the Spear of Destiny.
The show is currently under the medieval era, paying homage to "Camelot 3000". As for the finale, fans will have to wait for further information. Meanwhile, catch "Legends of Tomorrow" every Tuesdays at 9 PM on The CW.
