Theme parks are always a fun place to visit because it's a place where families and friends can have fun together. Now, a lot of people are excited since the Disney California Adventure Park announced the launching of its "Guardians of the Galaxy" ride that will be open to the public on May 27th.
USA Today reported that the new ride will be replacing the Tower of Terror which closed on Jan.1. Guests will now bid farewell to the old "The Twilight Zone" theme and welcome Star-Lord's retro music. But just like the Tower of Terror, every ride would be randomized so the journerys would be different.
It's expected that you will be journeying with Rocket Raccoon as he escapes from the Collector's fortress. The main goal of the riders will be to set the imprisoned Guardians free as they survive that thrilling twists and turns of the ride.
The new name of the ride would be "Guardians of the Galaxy-Mission: BREAKOUT," according to The San Diego Union-Tribune. It will come with new digital effects with revamped visuals and audio.
As the new ride opens, two year-round events also await guests and tourists. One is "The Guardians of the Galaxy: Awesome Dance Off!" which will be a fun event where people would dance rock'n'roll with Star-Lord and his boom box. It will also be a superhero-filled event because Captain America, Groot and Spider-man will be there in Hollywood Land as well.
The Summer of Heroes would also take place on May 27 to Sept.10. It's an event where superheroes like Hawkeye and Black Widow would hold training sessions for kids that's called the Avengers Training Initiative. The children will also be able to interact with other superheroes. A lot of merchandise with superhero themes will also be sold in the area.
