'Civilization VI' Latest News: Firaxis Adds Australia DLC, John Curtin, Steam Workshop & Free Modding Tools This Summer

"Civilization VI" will have Australia DLC, John Curtin and Steam Workshop. These latest additions to the game will take place this summer.

For the longest time, Firaxis has been silent about changes or updates for "Civilization VI. Players have been itching to get updates from the developers about their favorite game. A Recent report, however, revealed that the team is hard at work on additional content for Sid Meier's "Civilization VI." This summer of 2017, players can expect to see that hard work with the Australia DLC pack.

With "Civilization VI" Australia DLC, players will get the Outback, with prime minister John Curtin leading the people. As the 14th prime minister, Curtin led the continent from 1941-45 during World War II. His landmark legislations fused the many states of Australia. It also helped in its reconstruction following the war.

The "Civilization VI" Australia DLC has a unique unit called the Digger, which is basically their troops who served the Commonwealth during both World Wars. Once these Diggers are deployed on land tiles next to water, they gain extra combat power. In addition, their Land Down Under ability provides cities extra housing when built on coastal tiles, and those with magnificent appeal give extra yields to areas like city squares and holy sites. Furthermore, they also have a cattle ranch called the Outback Station, which provides food and production.

Aside from the "Civilization VI" Australia DLC, Firaxis also announced that "Civilization VI" would be receiving Steam Workshop and free modding tools. With the Steam Workshop present in the game, players can look through, add, and subscribe to mods. This will also allow them to find the mods easily.

The "Civilization VI" Australia DLC will be a paid content. On the other hand, the Steam Workshop and the modding tools will be included via the free update later this 2017, says Twinfinite.
