The latest "Pokemon GO" Gen 2 update has introduced new Pokemon for players to enjoy. However, there is one kind Pokemon that remains a mystery to fans until now, Unown.
The "Pokémon GO" Gen 2 update has expanded the entire games as it introduced the more Pokemon from Gold and Silver. The update is bringing to players their fondest memories of playing the Gold and Silver games. In the past, playing gold and silver involves catching all 26 of the stringy, single-eyed black floating Pokemon known as Unown. Fortunately, "Pokémon GO" players who have updated to Gen 2, the Unown are here again.
Where to Catch Unown in "Pokémon GO"
With a very unique and suggesting name, many details surrounding the letter-shaped symbol Pokémon are unknown. Players, however, across the world are ringing out with their findings of Unown. On Reddit, a user named MissingNebula reported a sighting of Unown in Milwaukee. MissingNebula shared loads of information on Imgur as proof. This includes Pokemon Go Pokedex, Unown holding down a gym spot and even an Unown battle. Another "Pokemon GO" Unown finds is discovered by Edwin Wong Chee Sen, in Singapore who shared it a Facebook group.
What Happens When You Collect All 26 "Pokemon GO" Unown
As reported, MissingNebula caught an Unown O, Edwin Wong Chee Seng found an Unown L. For now, players are baffled as to what the letter in each Unown stands for. It appears as though players will have to collect the 26 Unown that represents the 26 letters of the alphabet. The question that follows is that after collecting all 26 what will happen.
Looking back at "Pokémon GO" in the past, it has a history of introducing region-exclusive Pokémon, so it is possible to assume that Unown is heading in that direction as well. At the moment, however, with close to nothing info from "Pokemon GO," it is really too soon to say anything.
What we do know is that "Pokémon GO" Gen 2 seems to have some kind of achievement for catching all the 26 Unown letters. MissingNebula even shared a screenshot of the medal associated with capturing Unown. This achievement is not seen in most of the players' game. If the screen capture is real and accurate, more likely, it will not unlock until you catch your first Unown, reported MIC.
