'Pokemon Red and Blue' Latest News: There Is A Spreading 'Pokemon Red and Blue' Virus That Is Self-Replicating & Infecting Many Players

"Pokemon Red and Blue" recently got a virus. The glitch is so powerful it is spreading through most players.

"Pokemon Red and Blue" was launched two decades ago. Moreover, even up to now, fans still enjoy tweaking the game to discover new exploits and glitches. Earlier last week, Kotaku reported that there is a "Pokemon Red and Blue" exploit that enables you to delete the saved files of your opponent even by just playing against them.

Another "Pokemon Red and Blue" exploit is on the loose right now. This latest exploit by MrCheeze is in a way similar to the previously reported glitch, except that it yields opposite result. This time, playing against an opponent will force their saved file to replicate yours, thus infecting them with a "Pokemon Red and Blue" virus. Furthermore, if the target goes on to play against someone else, that person will also get loaded with the virus. This latest virus is similar to Pokerus, however, this one is real.

MrCheeze, the brain behind the "Pokemon Red and Blue" virus, calls his masterpiece as the world's first self-replicating program in a dedicated gaming system. MrCheeze says that the idea came to him two months ago after he discovered how to use a glitch within "Pokemon Red and Blue" to win in an entirely different Game Boy title in record speed. According to him, the idea of calling it a virus was very evocative, and he began thinking if it is possible to have arbitrary code running and spread one copy of the game to another.

The "Pokemon Red and Blue" virus exploit took MrCheeze approximately a week to create. It is now released into the wild for others to fiddle around with. This latest "Pokemon Red and Blue" exploit is that it is not destructive. This virus instead enables users to edit your own party, which can be uploaded to Pokemon bank.
