'Conan Exiles' Latest News & Update: Dev Kit Released; Funcom Announced Mod Support

"Conan Exiles" Dev kit was recently released. Modders can now upload their own mods for anyone to download.

"Conan Exiles" had a rocky start with server issues, lag problems, and getting their game cracked by pirates. Funcom, however, still managed to sell 320,000 copies of barbarian survival game "Conan Exiles." During the first week of sales, the game was ranked at the top of Steam's global bestseller list. This simply means that Funcom has actually recovered their losses from developing the game.

Funcom is now ready to move forward with further improvement and adding new features during "Conan Exiles" Early Access phase. Funcom CEO Rui Casais, in a statement about this happy announcement, said that this is just the start of the Early Access adventure. He added that they will do whatever it takes to make sure "Conan Exiles" turns into a fully-fledged game that has something to offer new and old fans of both Conan and survival games

In celebrating the game's early success, Funcom released the "Conan Exiles" Dev Kit, to enable modders to create their own unique content. Steam Workshop is now accessible for "Conan Exiles," with modders now being able to upload their own mods onto the service for anyone to download. The mods can vary from simply adding new tools or UI improvements, up to sweeping conversion mods, which can add new worlds, characters, and modes to "Conan Exiles." The CEO was quoted saying that he can guarantee that there are going to be hundreds of mods for the 'manhood' slider as the game develop in popularity.

Meanwhile, subsequent to the recent server issues, "Conan Exiles" official servers are beginning to come back online. In addition, at the moment, there are over 12,000 unofficial servers, so there will be no shortage of places to play, says PCGamesn. "Conan Exiles" is available on Steam for $29.99/£26.99.
