Episode 320 of "Gintama" has provided more insights into why Katsura rarely fights in a battle, despite him being one of the strongest characters in the anime. Plus, the live-action movie adaptation of the anime series has released two new posters showing two more characters.
According to a report from Amy McNulty of Anime News Network, episode 320 has featured one of Katsura's best fight sequences, if not his best overall. The Battle of Rakuyo featured Katsura going up against "the nigh-indestructible ape-man Neptune Shokaku."
McNulty adds that the fight was relatively short, but it wasn't devoid of actions, as the "brutal battle" involved insane falls, collapsed buildings, and severed limbs. The fight scene also included "well-timed flashbacks," which shows the reason for Katsura's penchant to avoid fighting, his late grandmother.
McNulty said the late grandmother has taught Katsura that generals should be "the biggest coward on the battlefield." This is because generals are responsible for the lives of all of their men.
This teaching is the reason why Katsura has avoided battles that could pose danger to his life. McNulty said this is also the reason why he has the nickname "Kotaro the Runaway."
She also adds that Katsura believes that generals should be hiding their true strength and only shows it if there's a threat that requires them to do so. Shokaku is one such enemy and Katsura was able to defeat him after an intense and brutal battle.
In other "Gintama" news, the live-action movie adaptation of the manga-inspired anime series has gotten two new posters showing two more characters in the movie, according to a report from ComicBook.
The new posters show the character Tae Shimura, who will be played by actress Masami Nagasawa, and the character Gengai Hiraga, to be played by actor Tsuyoshi Muro. The posters show that the movie will come out on July 14, 2017. Check out the trailer for the live-action movie in the video below.
