Beyonce has been outward about her adoration and support for Barack Obama, and on Election Day 2012, she wrote a heartfelt, public note to the current president showing her support and and respect for him before casting her vote.
Beyonce, 31, posted the note on her Tumblr which said,
"President Obama,
Everyday we see your heart and character, inspiring all of us to give more of ourselves.
'You are the leader to take us from where we are to where we need to be.
You are the reason my daughter and nephew will grow up knowing that they can truly be ANYTHING they want to be."
She ended the note,
"All my respect and adoration,
Beyoncé."
The singer posted a visual diary on her Tumblr page outlining her day of voting for President Obama which included photos of her voting and her filling out her ballot.
The Daily Mail also reported that Beyonce wore hoop earings with Obama's name on it last week, showing her support. The earrings were designed by Puerto Rican jewelry designer, Erika Peña that cost $32. The Daily Mail reported that sales for the earrings went up significantly after the songstress was pictured wearing them.
Beyonce and her husband Jay Z, hosted a fundraiser in New York recently in New York in support of President Obama. Jay Z has also publically supported President Obama. The Daily Mail reported that during his concert at Columbs's Nationwide Arena he changed the lyrics to his famous song, "99 Problems" and said, "I got 99 problems but Mitt ain't one," in front of about 15,000 people.
