Lionsgate has provided its audiences at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas a virtual reality experience of its movie "Power Rangers: Zords Rising." The VR experience allows audiences to enter the zords of the rangers.
Matthew Mueller of ComicBook reports that Qualcomm and Lionsgate have released the images of what the VR experience will look like for fans who can't attend the CES. The image shows the holographic images of each Power Rangers with Alpha 5 standing beside them.
At the background of the picture appears to a green alien-like device. Mueller said the alien-like device appears to be Zordon if previous images of the CES are to be believed.
MovieWeb reported that Lionsgate and Qualcomm have also released images of the zords in the VR experience. For those who get to attend the CES event, though, they will be able to experience what it's like to enter these zords.
The report adds that the VR experience was powered by the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 flagship processor. The chip processor is also based on upcoming "Power Rangers: Zords Rising" movie.
The VR experience will allow the fans to enter the zords of their favorite rangers and embody their powers and capabilities, the report said. The senior vice president of North America and the president of Australia Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. Mike Finley said they're happy to have worked with "Lionsgate to create an exciting virtual reality experience for Power Rangers fans."
The "Power Rangers: Zords Rising" is slated to premiere on March 24, 2017, in theaters worldwide. Check out the trailer for the upcoming movie in the video below.
Lionsgate's movie is a reboot to the original "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers," a 90's TV series. But Max Landis, the writer of the movie "Chronicle" and the one of the writer's Lionsgate had hired to write a draft of the reboot, couldn't help but notice the similarities between the two movies.
