A Story started to spread that gave everyone a slightly early Christmas present by dropping a sizzling new event impending onto the themed online scene. A nighttime show at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Hogsmeade may be in the works for as early as 2017.
According to Orlando Informer, Universal is currently developing the show, and it is going to launch in 2017. The event according to the news might be launched during Harry Potter convention, taking place from January 27-29, 2017 at Universal Orlando Resorts. This nighttime show at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will happen in both Universal Orlando Resorts and Universal Studios Hollywood early this year.
The untitled Harry Potter nightly show at Islands of Adventure will be somehow like the opening celebrations of both Hollywood's Hogsmeade and Orlando's, and use the iconic Hogwarts Castle as the image for a short projected film. Named projection mapping, Disney has been using the technology at a great length for quite some time now. This technology can be observed on such magical things as enclosing Cinderella Castle in ice for its Frozen-themed presentations.
The Harry Potter film franchise contains numerous films and it is such a difficult task to choose from which movie to include in the projection mapping. In addition, it would be tough to generate some kind of show using clips from the movies as a sort of movie trailer mash-up. Moreover, there is also discussion of doing some distinctive shows around holidays like Halloween and Christmas. Although there no details as of the moment, regarding what that might involve. Projecting snow onto Hogwarts would be delightful during the holiday season or at the end of the year.
If you do not find the story to be true, you can check out the recent change in park landscaping. Slash Film reported that an entire thicket of trees from the front of the Hogwarts castle has already been cut down. This might be a preparation for a wider space for projection, and more space for fans to be able to see the show projected on the castle without trees getting in the way.
