Fans of "The Flash" have a lot to look forward to when the show returns on January 24 for season 3, with Barry Allen trying to prevent Savitar from killing Iris West. Plus big and exciting plans for Caitlin Snow, and it involves her powers.
Showrunner Aaron Helbing told TV Line that Allen, who was able to see the future where Savitar killed Iris, "will be trying to do whatever it takes to save her." He adds that it will not only be "The Flash" who tries to save her, as everybody will be playing a part.
Helbing even teased that Julian Albert could possibly help the team out. He said Julian wants to make amends, after unintentionally serving the speed god.
As for the show's other characters, Helbing said that Cisco Ramon will find the Gypsy a strong adversary, while they have "big, exciting plans" for Caitlin Snow. Fans will get to see Snow having an internal battle with her powers for the remainder of the season.
Matthew Erao of Screen Rant speculates that this could possibly be Snow's continuing journey to becoming Killer Frost, or a full-blown attempt at becoming a superhero. He adds that if Snow continues on the path to becoming a villain, then she and Cisco might battle in the future, as Vibe and Killer Frost.
Helbing also mentioned that Wally West will continue to go "a little half-cocked" as the young speedster Kid Flash. Erao said that Wally still has a lot to learn from Allen when it comes to being a superhero and keeping a cool head.
