Quince Restaurant Uses iPads As A Plate In Serving A Dish Called 'A Dog In Search Of Gold'

Quince is the 6th restaurant in the San Francisco Bay Area which has been awarded three Michelin stars. On top of that, the restaurant has found a unique way of using iPad in their business. The dish is being served on an iPad called "A Dog in Search of Gold."

The past year may have been a troublesome time for many restaurants, and they are most likely incomparable to most restaurants with Michelin awards. But for some reason, there are iconic restaurants that have been using different ways of presenting their dishes like Quince which has used iPad as a plate. This trending presentation is not actually new, it has also been used earlier in 2010 by a Japanese Apple geek named Shiinaneko.

According to Gizmodo, the Quince restaurant has 20 iPads, which is placed inside a custom-made box that was hand crafted by a local artisan. This food is later on placed at the top of the box which has a sheet of glass, which is naturally believed that the food will not be touching the device. Some of the people who tested the dish are pleased while some are not that convinced that the food being served is clean.

This was debunked by Quince's Chef, Michael Tusk. The chef has guaranteed that the dish being served is clean since the box has a clean sheet where the food is placed. This idea of serving was discovered by the chef a few years ago. The name of the dish is very confusing for some customers but in the end some of them appreciated it, and this is because as it was called "A Dog in Search of Gold," which is actually a video that will be playing while you eat the truffle at the top of the iPad.

According to Telegraph, Chef Michael Tusk explains the snack which includes a chestnut crisp and a celeriac, porcini and ricotta truffle, which is dusted with porcini powder. Everything about the dish is very captivating for people in taste of a unique way of getting served, and this might be another year for the restaurant of Quince to make a huge trend because of their genius way of serving the dish "A Dog in Search of Gold."
