The Round 13 of the World Grand Prix in Singapore's Marina Bay Street Circuit will be memorable because 2017 will be the last Grand Prix in the country. That is only one of the reasons one should book an event early. Attendees of 2017's Singapore F1 Grand Prix would not want to miss eating at the best restaurants while watching the races, best hotels to stay in and more!
There Was An Early Bird Sale. To celebrate their 10th F1 night race in 2017, the Singapore F1 Grand Prix 2016 Executive Director Michael Roche had sold tickets last September to late November. Lucky buyers had enjoyed ticket discounts of over 33 percent ranging from $258-$1688.
The Last Race. According to CNBC, F1 CEO Bernie Ecclestone said Singapore would not extend its deal for the F1 after 2017. Citing an interview in a Germany publication, the news website said Eccelstone said Singapore was "ungrateful" after what F1 has done for the country.
Best Places To Stay. The nearer to Marina Bay, the better the hotel would be -- and possibly the more expensive. The Ritz-Carlton Millenia is probably the nearest with only a cab ride or even a walk away from Marina Bay's Street Circuit. Another choice is the Pan Pacific Singapore within the same distance. Each night of stay can cost about $329-400 in these five-star hotels but three-star hotels are great choices as well, halving these prices to $150 nightly.
Where To Dine. According to Marie France Asia's list of best F1 restaurants, "Sky on 57" is up in the sky above skyscrapers where diners can see the entire race below. "Me@OUE" specializes in Asian - French fusion cuisine featuring floor to ceiling windows with cars speeding just up front. Other featured restaurants are just as convenient to eat in.
Fully Booked. According to F1 Podium Lounge Founder Robin Hoyes-Cock, their rooms are full as their clients have booked as early as September 2016 for the event in 2017. Hoyes-Cock also said VIP rooms and passes to lounges have been sold out to elite clientele who may be bringing in relatives or clients into the event.
