Apple To Release 3 Upgraded iPhone 7 Models In 2017, Could Anger Fans Waiting For iPhone 8

Apple will be releasing three models of the iPhone 7 next year, the iPhone 7s, iPhone 7s Plus and a yet unnamed model that's considered as a higher variant of the iPhone 7s Plus. This information could anger fans who are awaiting the release of the iPhone 8 in 2017.

According to Mac Otakara, a Japanese blog that's known for revealing Apple information said that sources from Apple's Taiwanese supplier can expect the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus to be launched next year. The source also said that a third variant of the iPhone 7 will also be launched, which would be a 5-inch model that has the same specifications of the larger variants.

The latest models would also have the same basic specification of the iPhone 7s series and have a dual-lens camera that has iSight module organized vertically, instead of horizontally. These are not just studies, though, as the final specifications will be decided upon come the second quarter of 2017.

This latest leak is in line with rumors surrounding Apple's release of the iPhone in 2017. The company plans to launch two upgraded iPhone 7 models and a high-end version that features striking technologies.

The high-end variant is codenamed "Ferrari" and is expected to have borderless OLED display, invisible home button, a glass sandwich design, wireless charging and more. There are also reports claiming the top-tier variant will sport a curved screen.

Forbes reports that if Apple will only be coming out with an iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus next year, fans who have been anticipating the iPhone 8 would anger fans, especially since rivals are now cutting down bezel size of their respective smartphone devices to fit larger screens in smaller units.

The leaked third variant that Apple is planning to release alongside the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus offers features, though, that are said to be what the iPhone 8 will offer. For fans who are already eagerly awaiting an upgraded model of the iPhone, the high-end "Ferrari" model looks like the model they are waiting for. Check out the trailer video for the iPhone 7.
