Seven games from Ubisoft's catalog is free to download this weekend. The offer is part of their 30th anniversary celebration which was marketed as Ubi30. Previously, one game each month was given away for free. If anyone missed out on the past giveways, this would be their chance to get everything in the promo before the weekend is over.
According to technology news website Neowin, Ubisoft offered 7 games from its catalog for free in the last 7 months, one game for each month since June. To give more people a chance to enjoy the treats of their 30th anniversary, those same 7 games are free once more for a limited time this weekend. The Ubi30 offer is only good until Sunday, December 18.
The seven games included in the Ubi30 offer are Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, Rayman Origins, The Crew, Beyond Good and Evil, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, and Assassin's Creed III. Most of these games are part of popular franchises or highly rated by critics and players.
Gaming website Polygon reported that the Ubi30 giveaway for the month of December is Assassin's Creed III which is part of the 7 game free offer for the weekend. Although the free offer for the other 6 games expires after this weekend, Assassin's Creed III will remain free until the end of the month.
According to gaming website PC Gamer, there is no need to download all the games that are included in the Ubi30 promotion immediately. To redeem the free offer, all that is needed is to have a Ubisoft Club account and then to visit the Ubi30 promo page to click on the offer to add all the games to the user's Ubisoft Club account.
Once the games have been added to the account, they will remain there even after the promotion is over, ready to be downloaded at anytime. Ubisoft's UPlay client for the PC will be needed to download the games from the Ubi30 offer.
