We all have watched "Deadpool," one of Marvel's latest movie franchises, and one of the best blockbuster hits in the box office. This naughty, R-rated film is in a league of its own when compared with other Marvel movies, and with its immense success we fans couldn't wait for the upcoming sequel.
Ryan Reynolds, who plays Deadpool, let us in a few juicy details on the upcoming film with his interview on EW. Although no plot leaks were revealed, it's mostly about the new director they cast on the film, David Leitch, with the original director Tim Miller going his separate ways.
"Everybody was just a fan of his work. He's just a guy who's so muscular with his action. He also really understands those Deadpool sensibilities and where we need to take the franchise from here." Reynold said.
"And I love John Wick. One of the things that David Leitch does that very few filmmakers can do these days is they can make a movie on an ultra-tight minimal budget look like it was shot for 10-15 times what it cost."
It was earlier reported this year that Reynolds and Miller have both different perspectives on what the"Deadpool" sequel's premise is going to be like. Reynolds wanted to focus on the original film's raunchy humor, but Miller wanted to have a more "stylized" film. With this, Fox decided to side with Reynolds and therefore chose David Leitch to be the new director of the movie.
Meanwhile, we can also expect new characters to join in the "Deadpool" sequel. According to gamenguide, the producers and screenwriters of the film confirmed the appearance of Cable a.k.a Nathan Summers, another Marvel character who first made an appearance in the post-credits of the first film. Domino, Cable's love interest, is also going to be there.
The movie's rumored release is on January 12, 2018. It's still a long wait, but hey, all good things take time.
