The current age of Numenera is known as the The "Ninth World" and those previous eight ages were destroyed for reason unknown leaving ruins and artifacts behind. These artifacts have been identified as Numenera and symbolizes the leftovers of science and technology of the previous civilizations.
According to pcgamesn, inXile Entertainment, the video game developer of "Torment": Tides of Numenera, has launched a trailer unveiling a new powerful class referred to as the "Nanos". Below is a brief description and a short video clip of the new character class: the Nanos.
Nanos are the sorcerers of the the game, blessed with the potential to adjust reality to benefit over different character classes. Unlike using magic, Nanos have an innate capability to tap into ancient, advanced technology (referred to as Numenera) left via preceding civilizations. As their protecting abilties are somewhat limited Nanos need to be used as ranged characters wherein they are able to examine the minds of their enemies, unleash a mixture of ranged attacks and teleport themselves (plus fellow party participants) across the battlefield to gain a strategic edge, according to trueachievements.
Once again, the game is set to release in the first quarter of 2017. The game will be available to different languages and will be shipped in DRM-Free to platforms like Linux and Windows. Torment: Tides of Numenera is considered as the most funded video game on Kickstarter with over $4 million.
