'Scalebound': The Dragon Riding Game Will Be Available For Different Platforms

Scalebound, an upcoming fantasy role-playing game developed by Microsoft scheduled to launch in 2017 for Windows and Xbox One. Scalebound puts more emphasis on the visual design and gameplay over campaigns.

When it was announced that we would see the biggest boss fight Platinum Games has ever developed as the new gameplay video for Scalebound began, we all knew we were in for a good time. The story of Scalebound that follows the partnership between Drew and the dragon is at its core a very deep, engaging and emotional tale.

The game itself doesn't revolve on the main protagonist's story alone, where the actual third-person shooter gameplay depends on. However, the dragon will assist Drew throughout the game. Since Thuban and Drew are bonded together, if one of them dies, the other will and vice versa.

The dragon-riding mechanics have opened up some options for Platinum Games, and Scalebound takes full advantage of them, pitting you against those enormous beasts and provide some modern gameplay with remarkable graphics as well.

The partnership between the two is represented in the game in numerous ways. For example, the banter between them as they wreak havoc on the battleground, or Drew's mysterious dragon arm, which acts as an in-game health meter for Thuban, according to gamenguide.

As the story progresses, joint attacks will be available, or in-game actions with a specific function: Thuban might have more of an interest in saving a flailing Drew as he falls off a cliff or be more inclined to assist in helping him reach a high ledge.

Scalebound is the story of Drew, a young man from the normal world who is transported into a fantasy realm, in which he meets the dragon Thuban. Drew and Thuban harden their bond as a mysterious force called the Pulse ties them together and strengthen the connection between the man and this huge beast, according to universityherald.
