For active military personnel and teachers, theme parks and hotels are offering special perks. Everything from discounts on spa services, rooms and free park passes are available.
At any Anheuser-Busch theme park including Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay and Williamsburg; SeaWorld in San Antonio, Orlando, and San Diego; Sesame Place; Water Country USA and Adventure Island with the Here's To The Heroes program, active military members get free admission for them and up to three guests (who must be direct dependents).
At North Carolina's The Sanderling Resort and Spa, their Heroes Welcome program gives discounted rates people in uniform including military personel, fire and rescue, law enforcement or medical personnel.
Other attractions such as Dollywood, Universal Studios, The Bronx Zoo and New York Aquarium all offer discounts for military personell.
For educators, places like Marco Island Marriott Beach Resort, Golf Club and Spa in South Florida offers 20 percent off their lowest available rate on a Tropical Resort Guest Room for any hotel stay between the days of Sunday and Thursday.
At Jupiter Beach Resort and Spa in North Palm Beach, Florida 20 percent spa treatments and 50 percent off valet parking as well as complimentary breakfast for two is available for teachers. San Juan Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino is also offering 25 percent off reservations for teachers.
Theme parks such as SeaWorld also offers teachers free admission to their parks.
