'Battlefield 1' : Holds Record Of Biggest Launch In Developer DICE's History

Game developer DICE announced that the launch of its game Battlefield 1 was its biggest in the history of the company. The parent company of DICE and publisher of the game, Electronic Arts, did not provide details on the sales figures of Battlefield 1 but they did release an infographic presenting impressive statistics about the game.

Battlefield 1 is doing well offically. Since its launch on Oct. 21, the game has been a great success. According to gaming websites IGN, GameSpot, VG247, GamingBolt, and WWG, the developer of Battlefield 1, DICE, announced less than 3 weeks after its release, that the game had the biggest launch in the company's entire 22 year history.

DICE did not reveal anything specific. Sales figures were not provided and no exact numbers have been released. No mention was made on how many copies were sold nor did parent company Electronic Arts make any mention of how many units have been sold. They did say that their announcement of the record launch was based on the number of daily active players. One analyst also believed that Battlefield 1 could sell up to 16.5 million copies.

Electronic Arts revealed that Battlefield 1 was ahead of Battlefield 4 in terms of the number of people who played during launch week. The company reported that the player base of Battlefield 1 was double that of Battlefield 4. Even with the huge numbers of Star Wars: Battlefront, another DICE game, they still announced that Battlefield 1 had the bigger launch.

Battlefield 1 has already made a huge impact around the world. The game has posted some impressive numbers two and a half weeks since its release. DICE recently provided a number of interesting statistics regarding the game on the official Battfield blog. Electronic Arts and DICE released a Battlefield 1 infographic revealing the figures to celebrate its strong launch week. Battlefield 1 is available now for Origin PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
