Amidst cancellation rumors and low ratings in the past episodes due to the absence of Michael Weatherly's character Tony DiNozzo, CBS' action police procedural TV series is still on and going with its episode seven about to be aired next week. The reason behind Weatherly's absence is due to his new show "Bull", which is also on CBS. The actor shared that going back to NCIS might not be possible and can only be done if the two shows do a crossover.
Now with Tony currently on a leave and in Paris with her daughter, many fans have speculated that his return to the show will be impossible, which may have resulted to a drop on their ratings. However, in the upcoming episode's promo video, a certain Tony DiNozzo Sr. is seen dropping by as he tries to find a possible lessor on his son's apartmen, according to an article released by Christian Today.
Seeing that his father is present, hopes are up that Tony Jr. that maybe (just maybe) Weatherly will return on the show. In an article found on Ecumenical News, the synopsis for episode seven titled "Home of the Brave" reads: "DiNozzo Sr. (Robert Wagner), will ask Abby (Pauley Perrette), Bishop (Emily Wickersham) and McGee (Sean Murray) to meet him at his son's old apartment. According to him, Tony and his daughter, Talia, are enjoying Paris and wish to stay there for an indefinite period of time. Since they do not know when they will return, it is better to lease the apartment to someone else, preferably a person they know well."
With the apartment offered at a reasonable price, the three readily said yes to the offer and wanted the apartment for themselves, to which DiNozzo Sr. Asked, "Any chance of you sharing the place?," and the three replying with three big "No's." McGee then received a phone call from work requesting the three of them to check out a new case of a dead Navy officer. Find out what happens next on "NCIS" season 14 episode 7, airs Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
