The story just keeps getting better and stakes higher as E.T.'s "Gotham" delves deeper into the secrets of each character of the show. In this week's episode, one person's revelation will cause danger to another, and one man's secret may finally be discovered.
In an article released by CarterMatt, the synopsis for episode nine titled "Mad City: The Executioner" reads: "Gordon and Bullock become suspicious of Barnes, and comb through evidence of the murder at Lee and Mario's engagement party. Nygma goes to Penguin when he hasn't heard from Isabella (guest star Chelsea Spack). Meanwhile, Ivy reveals her identity to Selina and Bruce, but quickly leads them to trouble."
Last week's episode "Mad City: Blood Rush" showed Captain Barnes (Michael Chiklis) fully embracing his dark side and killed a plastic surgeon who had a history of medical malpractice. As he was pondering his future with James Gordon (Ben McKenzie), Gordon, on the other hand, is suspicious of him and tries to convince Harvey (Donal Logue).
Meanwhile, this is a day of rejoice for Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) as Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) returns at his side to seek comfort. According to an article by Ecumenical News, Penguin ordered the murder of Isabella (Chelsea Spack) due to his feelings of jealousy towards the new apple of Nygma's eye. It was discovered that Penguin has feelings toward Nygma but was unable to confess to Nygma due to the arrival of Isabella. And now that she is finally dead, Nygma is again all his.
Ivy Pepper (Maggie Geha), on the other hand, will cause harm to her friends unintentionally. In one of the scenes shown in the promo video, she finally tells Selina (Camren Bicondova) and Bruce (David Mazouz) her true identity and led them to trouble. Watch what happens as "Gotham" season 3 airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EST on Fox.
