Eagles of Death Metal was expected to join U2 in their concert last December 6, Sunday but were not able to make it.
Eagles of Death Metal, a rock band from California, were playing when terrorists attacked and killed about 89 people in Le Bataclan theatre last November 13.
Josh Homme, frontman of Queens of the Stone Age, co-founded Eagles of Death Metal but does not usually tour with them was also expected to be in the U2 concert on Sunday.
U2, an Irish rock band from Dublin, performed in AccorHotels Arena last December 6 Sunday after forcing to postpone such tour due to the Paris terrorist attacks. The shows were supposed to be on November 14 and 15 and were rescheduled because the city was shut down temporarily.
Bono, frontman of U2, wrote a song 'Streets of Surrender' which was inspired by the Paris attack event.
Jesse Hughes, singer of Eagles of Death Metal, recalls that he narrowly avoided a shot during the attacks
'I opened up the hallway door, and that's when I saw the shooter,' he recalls. 'He turned on me and he brought his gun down and the barrel hit the door frame.'
'People were playing dead, and they were so scared,' he added. 'A great reason why so many were killed is because so many people wouldn't leave their friends and so many people put themselves in front of people.'
The American band made mentioned that they wanted to 'finish' the halted concert in Paris and urged people to be 'citizens of the world.'
During the Bataclan attack, none of the band members of Eagles of Death Metal were hurt but it was reported that Nick Alexander, merchandising manager of the group, as well as 3 other employees of the record label died.
The band desired to be the first band to play in Bataclan again once it opens back up.
