Harry Reid Eye Injury: Nevada Democrat Injury Is Proof He's 'Fit' To Govern

Harry Reid Eye Injury - While a number of fitness champs have shamed Harry Reid for his eye injury due to his fitness workout, the Nevada democrat has brushed such insults off. For Reid, he thinks the injury is proof that he's fit to govern if he does win in the upcoming 2016 elections.

Despite being 75 years old, the Senate Minority Leader, Reid, continues to keep up with the pace. Reid has worked out to keep fit and healthy. Yet, accidents apparently happen even when one is exercising. Harry Reid's eye injury was sustained after an exercise band snapped and launched him into a cabinet.

"I don't know how many people out there could sit down and do 250 sit-ups or do the strength exercise I did with those bands hundreds and hundreds of times -- hundreds of times -- every week, three times a week," shares Reid in a report by FOX News.

Adding to Harry Reid's eye injury, he sustained four broken ribs and a concussion. Such injuries prevented him from returning to Capitol Hill, which was the first few days of the 114th congressional session.

Harry Reid's eye injury of course is not one to hinder him from the job. In fact, his fitness regimen has been touted as proof that he's definitely a capable Senate Democrat. One of Reid's spokesman had tweeted his full regimen on Twitter.

"To recap Sen. Reid's exercise routine: 250 SITUPS 3x/wk (750 total). Arm & chest: 420 reps w/exercise band 3x/wk. Walks 3 mi/day. Plus yoga," reads the post.

Harry Reid's eye injury won't stop him from the 2016 re-elections as well. Reid's doctors add that they are "hopeful" for a full recovery, which only means Reid won't lose "sight" of his goals. Right now, the Nevada Democrat is taking a bit of time with his recovery.
