Jennifer Lawrence children's hospital visit on the eve of Christmas has made some of her biggest fans very happy. The "Hunger Games" star spread some holiday cheer to dozens of sick children at the Kosair Children's Hospital in her hometown of Louisville, Ky., Wednesday, according to TIME.

During Jennifer Lawrence's children's hospital visit, the 24-year-old posed for photos with children and their families, as well as a group shot with the staff in front of a Christmas tree.

Jennifer Lawrence's children's hospital visit was reportedly unannounced. However, she still chose to share the happy memory via photos on her yet-to-be-verified social media accounts.

During Jennifer Lawrence's children's hospital visit, the Oscar winner opted to don a casual getup, wearing a loose cream button-down blouse paired with black skinny jeans.

The "Silver Linings Playbook" star also got the chance to go inside the hospital's Neonatal unit. She was even photographed hovering over a baby, gazing at it while one of her hands was placed over her heart.

The Jennifer Lawrence's children's hospital visit Wednesday was apparently not the first time she visited the same hospital. Last year, she went there as well and had had an invaluable experience with the kids, reports US Weekly.

The movie star's first stop at the hospital was the holidays last year, according to the New York Daily News.

"Thank you for visiting the kids yesterday. We know it meant a lot to them and brightened their day," the hospital tweeted after Jennifer Lawrence's children's hospital visit last year.

"It's impossible to shock me or gross me out," she told the Los Angeles Times in 2010.

The star also said she once served became an assistant nurse at a children's summer day camp run by her parents.

On Twitter, photos of Jennifer Lawrence's children's hospital visit show her posing with the kids by their beds.

"Happy day!" Lawrence wrote in one of her tweets while she was alongside a hospital staff and patients. "Visiting the Kosair Children's Hospital."

In another tweet pic during Jennifer Lawrence's children's hospital visit, she wrote, "Happy Christmas Eve to all children of the world," inspired and touched by the people in the hospital.

In the video below, showing a moment during Jennifer Lawrence's children's hospital visit, the actress charmed the staff by joking about her awkward pose.

"Does it look like I'm pooping?" she joked, making the room bursting into laughter.
