On the fifth day of Microsoft's "12 Days of Deals," the company has featured ASUS Transformer Book T100.
Microsoft has given its customers the chance to grab ASUS T100 for only $249, or cheaper for earlier buyers, Thursday , CNET reported.
The device, which normally retails at $329, has been listed in Microsoft's holiday deals. Microsoft has also offered the first 50 customers to purchase ASUS T100 a discount of $130. This means that the gadget will only cost $199.
ASUS T100 is a 10-inch Windows tablet that includes a keyboard dock in the box. It is also a part of Microsoft's Signature series, which assures users that the machine has no bloatware, trialware or third-party software that will slow down the device. The Signature series devices are Microsoft-customized, so users don't have to uninstall the software they don't want for their computer.
As for other specs, the ASUS T100 runs on an Intel Atom Z3735F processor and includes 2GB of memory and 32GB storage via an eMMC flash drive. The device can last up to 11 hours of battery life.
The device also has a solid performance, according to TechCrunch. It is capable of running traditional apps and users can easily tilt and position the tablet screen in any angle they find comfortable. It is also considered inexpensive, considering that the machine includes the keyboard dock.
ASUS 100 has been available through Microsoft's online store since Thursday midnight. The device can also be purchased at any open Microsoft retail outlets.
"12 Days of Deals" started on Dec. 8 and will end on Dec. 19. During this campaign, Microsoft has been cutting the cost of a unique product each day. The promo, however, will only be valid for that day.
On Monday, Microsoft offered a Toshiba Windows 8.1 tablet for only $79. Tuesday's offer was an unlocked Windows 8.1 Blu Win HD for $129. Microsoft trimmed $50 from the normal price of any Xbox One console, including a free game. On Friday, rumors have arisen that a Jambox Mini would be offered for $69, with the buyer's choice of color.
