William And Kate Nets Game: British Royalties Meet Beyonce, Jay Z, And Lebron James, Couple Met By Protests At Cavaliers-Nets Game

William and Kate Nets game - The British royal couple that arrived late last evening in Carlyle Hotel in New York City appear to be having a grand time in the East Coast. Duchess Kate Middleton and Prince William were recently spotted at a Cavalier-Nets game shaking hands with none other than Lebron James.

Apart from the renowned athlete, also present during William and Kate Nets game visit was the music mogul couple, Beyonce and Jay Z. Both royalties in their own rights, Prince William and Kate watched Lebron take the Cavaliers to the top spot in their battle against Brooklyn Nets. The game took place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Of course, William and Kate Nets game fashion also channelled the East Coast look. While William downplayed his look with a blue and red plaid shirt, pregnant Kate still looked as fashionable as ever in a Tony Burch grey coat, which she paired with heels and skinny jeans.

Cavaliers' Lebron wasn't the only NBA player in the field that shook hands with William and Kate at Nets game. NBA legend, Dikembe Mutombo were also part of the event where he along with Serge Ibaka and Al Horford were named ambassadors to Prince William's United for Wildlife organization.

"At last I'm standing next to someone who's taller than me," quipped Prince William during a photo call with Mutombo. He then spotted a basketball, stating: "I think I should be spinning this on my finger."

However, not everything had gone smoothly during William and Kate's Nets game. The royal couple were met by protests outside of Barclays Center. Such protests were against decisions of the New York Police for not indicting officers who had been involved in the deaths of Eric Garner and Michael Brown of Ferguson.

While William and Kate Nets game visit was one for the press, Lebron's shirt during the game also caught nationwide attention. The Cavaliers player had the words, "I Can't Breathe" printed out on his shirt. These were Garner's last words before dying.
