Knowing when your device will run out of battery is not a problem anymore with the release of Predix, a tweak that predicts battery lifespan.
The battery percentage found in the iPhone display doesn't give users the time left for the device to live, but the new jailbreak tweak will, iDownload Blog reported.
iOS developer iNasser has recently released a jailbreak tweak called Predix, which gives an estimate of the battery's life. The tweak displays a countdown on how much time the battery will last. Predix also predicts the time it will take for the iPhone device to become fully charged when the user is charging the device, according to iDevice News. The jailbreak is considered "stylish and elegant."
Predix requires another jailbreak tweak called Activator. Activator allows users to launch applications in a "jailbroken" iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. It is considered as the "backbone" of tweaks created in Cydia, according to MakeUseOf.
Prefix also introduces a preference pane to the Settings application, where users can configure the design of the tweak and how it will behave in the device. The options also include enabling and disabling the tweak, choosing an Activator action the user prefer when invoking Predix, hiding and showing of the battery percentage, and selecting both the background color and label color to the tweak's interface.
The tweak is currently in 1.0-6 version and works with iOS 8 or higher. The device needs to be "jailbroken" to activate Predix's functionalities.
The 17-year-old developer of Predix has also developed Instant Compose, a tweak that allows users to instantly compose Facebook or Twitter posts by using the ringer or mute button of the device. He is also the brain behind iDevice Wise, which provides detailed specifications of an iPhone device. He also created Quipose and an iPhone theme named Kage 7. iNasser is currently residing in Kuwait.
The jailbreak tweak is available at Cyndia's BigBoss repository at the price of $1.49.
