The 57th Grammys will be on the 8th of February but the announcement of the nominations for 2015 will be out on Friday. In the morning, the nominees for more than 80 awards will be publicized and a concert special called "A Very Grammy Christmas" will be airing at 9 PM EST. This will feature stars that would perform and the Album of the Year would also be revealed.
The celebration will be 8:30 AM when the four major awards such as Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best New Artist will be announced live. In the afternoon, the nominee for the remaining awards will be announced through CBS's Twitter.
There are speculations of who the nominees are and who should win which. These speculations include Sam Smith as he is expected with a number of nominations. He would be up against heavy hitters of the Song and Record of the Year award with the likings of Beyonce, Jay-Z, Idina Menzel, and Taylor Swift as well. He should have no competition in winning the Best New Artist, however, some newbies like Iggy Azalea, Brantley Gilber, and 5 Seconds of Summer might likely to be nominated as well and join him in the category.
The holiday-themed celebration would be a big day for the Grammys and it would be an hour-long. The festivity will be hosted by L.L. Cool J and there would be performances from Mary J. Blige, Ariana Grande, Tim McGraw, Maroon 5, Williams and Smith. A live stream of the special would also be available on CBS.com.
It is predicted that the competition would be intense especially for the Album of the Year. Of all the foreseen nominees, the fiercest is Beyonce with her self-titled album. There a lot more of expectations, as the nominees are soon to be revealed.
