Manny Pacquiao vs. Chris Algieri Full Fight Highlights, Replay & CompuBox Stats Results [PHOTOS]

Manny Pacquiao retained his WBC Welterweight Championship after overwhelming American boxer Christopher Algieri via 12-round unanimous decision on Sunday at Venetian Macao in Macau, China.

Pacquiao, who improved his record to 57 wins and 5 losses, jumped on Algieri right from the opening bell as he unleashed rapid combinations of punches that left bruises and swells on the handsome face of Algieri.

CompuBox indicated that the Filipino slugger landed 34 percents of his punches (229 of 669), while Algieri had 23 percent of his shots landed (109 of 469), thought none of his punches gave trouble to Pacquiao.

The 35-year old Pacquiao entered the match with a mission to salvage his first knockout win since he flustered Miguel Cotto in their welterweight title fight in 2009. Unfortunately for him, the streak lived on as Algieri gallantly withstood six knockdowns and survived the 12-round one-sided contest.

"I did my best. Of course, I am satisfied with my performance," Pacquiao said of his performance via ESPN. "I came to fight. I did my best. I think that's enough."

Algieri, who absorbed his first loss in 21 professional fights, admitted in a post-match interview that Pacquiao's speed was just too much for him to evade.

"It's not so much the punching power, to tell you the truth, it's how he mixes the punches up," Algieri said. "He has a very, very distinct and unique style that he has perfected. Manny Pacquiao is a hell of a fighter."

With Pacquiao emerging the victor in his latest match, the only fight left for him is the showdown with Floyd Mayweather Jr. And indeed Pacman expressed his desire to fight the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world next year.

"The people deserve that fight. The fans deserve that fight," Pacquiao said of his potential match with Mayweather at the post-fight news conference. "It's time to make that fight happen. It's been a long time. I want that fight. They're always denying the fight. I think the fight has to happen."
