Betty White found dead - This is what circulating rumors about the "Hot In Cleveland" star keep on claiming since early this year, and the madness just keeps on repeating each month on the Internet.
Apart from Betty White found dead reports published in spring, a couple of online news sites also debunked the rumor last September, just to reassure the fans of the 92-year-old Hollywood actress that she is still alive and kicking.
Last October, the same rumors claiming that Betty White was found dead inside her Los Angeles home also circulated on the Web, causing a huge buzz on several social networking sites.
This month, the same thing is happening with reports alleging the death of the renowned comedienne. Luckily, many news sites continue to debunk this hoax, clarifying that White is not at all dead.
According to ABC News, the rumor that Betty White was found dead started with a satirical website publishing that White "dyes peacefully in her Los Angeles home."
Some sites picked up the supposed to be satirical report and may have confused "dyes" with "dies," thus explains the many reports claiming that White has indeed passed away.
Apart from the spelling confusion, other people began to fuel the rumor by pointing out the noticeable absence of Betty White from Twitter.
Additionally, other satirical sites also came up with their own version of the story, one being Media Mass' report that an "R.I.P. Betty White" was made in honor of the actress' passing.
"At about 11 a.m. ET on Sunday (October 19, 2014), our beloved actress, Betty White, passed away. Betty White was born on January 17, 1922 in Oak Park. She will be missed, but not forgotten. Please show your sympathy and condolences by commenting on and liking this page," the description for the alleged Facebook page read.
Meanwhile, a National Enquirer report didn't directly slam the death hoaxes, but the notorious tabloid maintained that White is actually planning to end her 75-year-old acting career.
The last post she made on the social network site was dated on May 29th, and it was a photo of "Extra" host Mario Lopez.
Many fans fell for these speculations and quickly spread the rumor on social media, which explains the never-ending cycle of the circulation of such a hoax that Betty White was found dead.
