Los Angeles Lakers point guard Jeremy Lin has been inactive for the past few days due to his sprained ankle. However, his injury won't hold him from making some buzz around the association.
The Foot is Still Aching: Head coach Byron Scott told reporters that Lin will miss a preseason game for a third straight time because of his injury. Nevertheless, he has already engaged in a number of drills during Saturday's practice session and is very much expected to play in the season-opener.
"He was spotted getting up some jumpers at Saturday's practice which is a good indication that he is making progress from his recently sprained ankle," ESPN Los Angeles Mike Trudell posted on his Twitter account.
"We expect him to be ready for the season opener and the Lakers are just being cautious at the moment. Lin projects as a solid late-round selection as he should see plenty of minutes in LA's backcourt this season."
He predicted the Linsanity buzz Lin in New York City as a Harvard grad baller coming out of nowhere to save the Knickerbockers' season three years ago could happen again in Staples Center this coming season. Thus, the rebirth of Linsanity in Hollywood.
"Clairvoyant Bill is here. He thinks Linsanity is gonna be a thing. I think we are back with Linsanity. Linsanity 2.0, I think he's going to do great with the Lakers," Simmons claimed during his Bill and Jalen's NBA season preview.
J-Lin and Nick Young's Rush Hour Mode: The off-the-court relationship of Lin and fellow guard Nick Young has been going smoothly so far. Last week, Lin and Young stormed into the Lakers' Casino Night with their own interpretations of Chief Inspector Lee and Detective James Carter, the main characters of the action trilogy Rush Hour.
