Ebola Outbreak Latest Update 2014: First Vaccine To Undergo Testing As Death Toll Reaches More Than 4,000 [VIDEO+REPORT]

Ebola outbreak update this 2014 reveals that the World Health Organization (WHO) has recorded more than 4,000 deaths and more than 8,300 people have been already infected while international efforts continue to contain the spread of the deadly virus.

A huge amount of fear already begins to grow after one death has been confirmed outside the West African region on Wednesday. Thomas Eric Duncan, the first man diagnosed with the infection in the US has died on Wednesday in Dallas while a nurse in Madrid is suspected of carrying the virus after becoming very ill. With the increasing number of infected persons, many officials also expect that the current death toll will also increase further; thus, joint efforts from different countries are already carried out to create a possible vaccine.

According to the latest update regarding the 2014 Ebola outbreak in parts of West Africa, the first ever vaccine to possibly combat the deadly virus will be tested in the African soil on Friday. The UN also recently revealed that the number of deaths has already doubled every two-three weeks and with that, immediate action must be carried out to prevent further human crisis. Aside from the development of the vaccine, the US has already begun its implementation regarding its screening procedures in five of its biggest airports in order to detect possible infected people.

The newest screening process in the US airports will involve a thorough assessment to travelers coming from the West African countries. Another update on the Ebola outbreak 2014 says that other people suggest that travelers from the affected region should be banned from coming inside the US; however, experts reject the idea as they think that it could only worsen the case in Africa.

With the ongoing outbreak, the UN already plead for a $1 billion budget to address the growing infection of Ebola this 2014; however, newest update reveals that only 25 percent has been funded.
