The much awaited WWE debut of professional wrestling legend Sting could arrive sooner, as Bray Wyatt gave his fans a hint of who's going to be his next opponent inside the squared circle.
Sting, who is already a playable character in WWE 2K15 after reportedly agreeing to join Vince McMahon's sports entertainment empire, was previously expected to make his WWE debut at Wrestlemania next year.
However, a cryptic Twitter message by the Wyatt family leader this week suggested that colossal showdown with the former WCW and NWA world champion might be just around the corner.
"it exists in us all. we are the ants destroy the scorpion Be Heard," posted by Wyatt, who once held a Tag-Team championship and had a brutal rivalry with reigning WWE World Heavyweight champion John Cena last year.
While the Wyatts have always been cryptic and creepy characters in the WWE universe, many hardcore wrestling fans believed the scorpion Bray was talking about in his tweets was no other than Steve Borden, also known as Sting.
Why Wyatt vs. Sting?
Wyatt's stock has dropped significantly ever since his feud with Cena ended with two losses to the Cenation leader. He has a good rivalry with former undisputed World Champions Chris Jericho, though it's nothing compared to the buzz generated from his demonic war with the face of WWE.
According to wrestling analysts, Wyatt vs. Sting makes sense for the wrestlers and the WWE brand, as both superstars have some sort of darkside backgrounds. Bray could also capitalize on the magnitude of Sting's WWE debut to revitalize his character. On the other hand, taking on an up-and-coming wrestler like Bray Wyatt before fighting the elite guys will take off some pressure off Borden before the big showdown at Wrestlemania 31.
This early in the WWE season, there are rumors that Sting will be fighting against his wrestling contemporary, Mark William Callaway, a.k.a the Undertaker, in the main event of the biggest wrestling event of the year.
