From the incessant honking to rude gestures, a recent survey has finally revealed the states with the rudest drivers by car. Who would have thought that drivers in Idaho would top the list? Following second on the list of rudest drivers by car is Washington D.C. and in at third place is New York.
The survey on the rudest drivers by car was done by over 2,000 drivers. It was a nationwide survey done by Insure.com.
"Casting aspersions toward other drivers is a long-standing tradition. We wanted to know not only where the rude drivers come from, but also who thinks they're rude," stated Amy Danise, Insure.com's editorial director.
Topping the list was Idaho, second was Washington D.C. and third was New York. With New York and Washington being the most populated areas, USA Today claims it's where rudeness is at its peak best.
As for Idaho being a laid-back environment with no one to be rude towards, it was a bit surprising that the state got first place in the list of states with the rudest drivers by car. The survey by Insure.com adds that Idaho's rudest drivers by car are divided into two categories: a. those that move too slowly that instantly get judged as being rude and b. the overly aggressive car drivers that simply flip off at the slow drivers.
Idaho, Washington and New York may be the big three states with the rudest drivers by car but there are seven more other states. The top ten states with the rudest drivers by car are namely Wyoming at fourth place, Massachusetts at fifth place, Delaware and Vermont at sixth and seventh place respectively, New Jersey at eight place, Nevada at ninth place and Utah at tenth place.
Will the results vary if another website decides to do their version of the survey?
