Manchester United has acquired Colombian striker Radamel Falcao on a loan deal with AC Monaco, while Javier Hernandez joins Real Madrid also on a loan deal, ESPN FC reported on Monday.
Falcao To Red Devils
The Daily Mail reported that Manchester United will complete the deal for Falcao on a £12million season-long loan in the 11th hour of Monday's deadline. If he lives up to his hype, the Red Devils could exercise the option to complete the transfer of Falcao next season on a £40 million transfer fee.
Falcao, who is hailed one of the finest goal scorers in Europe for the past seasons, will be the latest acquisition of manager Louis Van Gaal after signing Angel di Maria, Daley Blind, Marcos Rojo, Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw this summer.
According to the source, Falcao will still pocket £200,000 per week - which is the same salary Di Maria will be receiving as the primarily playmaker for the Red Devils.
"The striker will cost the Old Trafford club £12million and follows Angel di Maria, Daley Blind, Luke Shaw, Ander Herrera and Marcos Rojo in joining Van Gaal at Old Trafford," the Daily Mail reported on Monday.
Ronaldo, who competed against Falcao during the latter's tenure with Atletico Madrid, lauded the move of Manchester United's management to acquire the skilful Colombian goal scorer, whom he called a quality player.
Falcao recorded 11 goals last season for AC Monaco and 70 goals over two seasons with Atletico Madrid.
Chicharito to Real Madrid
Meanwhile, Hernandez saw the fulfillment of his dream by joining Real Madrid on a season-long loan deal. The 26-year Mexican passed a medical on Monday, and will reportedly wear no.14 for the Los Blancos.
With their attacking unit (Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez and Ronaldo) already loaded, analysts believed Real Madrid is going to use Chicharito as a reserve player or perhaps a starter in less complicated matches.
"I am coming here to do what I can, to give everything for this club," Hernandez told the press via ESPN FC. "The fans will see a player who always gives everything, to try and help the team.
