Fans of the "Sherlock" star have been waiting for the actor to accept the latest social media challenge in support of the ALS research and for raising money for charity. The famous Tom Hiddleston was actually one of those celebrities who nominated the actor to participate in the said task.

After days of waiting, Benedict Cumberbatch definitely did not fail his supporters as he joins the said activity. The 38 year-old star also emphasized the importance of donating money to charity as the real reason why everybody participates in the viral ice bucket challenge. In the latest video uploaded, the actor can be seen wearing his shirt and pants while sitting in a bench introducing himself and declaring his acceptance of the said test.

The "Sherlock" star has been nominated by Tom Hiddleston, Juno Temple, and Adelaide Clemens.
