'The Hobbit' definitely has a lot of tricks under its sleeve, and for its world premiere just this Monday, fans were surprised to see how the Middle-earth themed movie has come to life through the presence of Gandalf and the great eagles in Wellington Airport, same day Air New Zealand's Boeing 777-300 which was adorned with behemoth stickers of Smaug landed at LAX from Auckland in time for the great fanfare over premiere of 'The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.'
'Hobbit' Dragon Smaug Plane to Market New Zealand, Boost Tourism Over 'Hobbit' Trilogy's Popularity
A 'Hobbit' inspired plane that features a behemoth image of the dragon Smaug has been unveiled by New Zealand's national airline Monday in time for the premiere of the second installment of the 'Hobbit' trilogy. The 177-foot image of Smaug is said to be one of the airline's way to market New Zealand as well as to boost tourism in the said country.
