Caleb Johnson had a rough journey in American Idol season 13 just before he includes himself in the previous season' winners list.
Wednesday nights' two-hour finale episode featured different talents in the music industry as the two remaining contenders wait for their fate. Caleb and Jena Irene both performed at their best as they battle for the title, but there's only one name that prevailed in the competition. Included in the winners list of the American Idol's previous season is the latest talent from Johnson who rocked the show.
Reaching the grand title as the newest idol for Johnson was not that easy and was not achieved in a single attempt. The rock singer from North Carolina did not have his luck at first shot as he already auditioned for the show several times. He reportedly auditioned for season 10 and 11 and was able to make it for a few rounds, but he didn't make that far unlike this year American Idol season 13 wherein he already belonged to the winners list.
The night did not just showcased talents from the contestants since other stars have also joined them as the finale approached. The judges primarily shared their talents on stage just before the champion was announced. Other amazing performances were from Phillip Phillips, Demi Lovato, Paramore, Kiss and Jason Mraz.
The competition has been tight since many also bet that Jena will go home with the title of American Idol and becoming her one of the winners that's listed in the show's history. However, it may not yet be the time for the 17 year-old Jena since she didn't make it to the title.
With all the hard work he exerted, Johnson is lucky enough to be the next American Idol winner included on the list. In the end of the show, Johnson was definitely carried away with his emotions over the win as he became teary-eyed when he delivered his winning song.
