Some of the Greatest Books to Read While Traveling

One of the worst things to feel is boredom. And although some of you might say that reading is boring, reading might be a better option than twiddling your thumbs in an airport waiting for you next flight.

I am proud to call myself a bookworm. I have a kindle and whenever I forget my kindle I have the kindle app on my phone as backup. For all my fellow book lovers, here are some books that I feel are great to read while traveling!

The Art of Happiness by the Dalai Lama and Howard Cutler

This might sound like a sappy book, it's actully very uplifting. This book is a conversation between the Dalai Lama and a psychiatrist, and mixes the components of religion, science, culture and other philosophies on life.

The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand

This book is pretty well known, and so is the author. When I was in high school, I had to read a few of his books for essay assignments, and his books are really good books - Regardless of what high schoolers say.

The Art of Happiness draws a fine line between individualism and collectivism. With philosophy built into the story of a man who struggles to maintain individualism through his architectural portfolio, Ayn Rand was able to turn this novel into a success.

Snuff by Chuck Palahniuk

I am actually a little embarrassed that I found interest in this book. Snuff is definitely aimed toward older/adult readers. Unlike Fifty Shades of Grey (for those who accuse this great trilogy of being a pornographic novel), Snuff is actually about porn. Do not be alarmed though. This book does not have a lot of sex scenes.

Snuff is a great comedy - It's a story of a priestess who aims to succeed in her career by breaking a world record. Oddly enough this world record involves serial fornication on camera with 600 men. Talk about being open to the public.

More closely, Snuff continues by telling the story of three men who are waiting to sign up for the pornography business! Backgrounds are discussed, and secrets are let out. Such a scandal!

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

This book has been known to inspire people to travel all over the world. Similarly, this book allows people to find the meaning for living! Through a shepherd's journey to Egypt, Paulo Coelho has made it possible for everyone to believe that anything is possible.

This self-help book is both entertaining and uplifting. It's one adventure story that inspires you to do great things!
