Tara has become the nation's most loved cat after seen attacking the dog that attacked his four-year old master.
This week's shocking scenario has contradicted with a common notion that dogs are much superior and that they are mainly attacking the poor cats. What happened on Tuesday is quite an opposite after the footage of a young boy being attacked came out. The video showed that the pet has been
On Tuesday, four-year old Jeremy Triantafilo was outside their home in California when the neighbor's dog grabbed him from behind. The poor child was bitten in his leg and was dragged from his bicycle. In a matter of seconds, the boy's pet came out and chased the animal away.
In the footage taken from a surveillance camera outside their home, it can be seen that the cat is attacking the dog in order to defend its young owner. Jeremy sustained a wound that needed stitching in his leg after bitten by the 8-month old Labrador-Chow mix. The Triantafilo family has been thankful to their brave cat Tara since no worse injury has happened to their son.
After the incident, the family revealed in an interview that Tara has become part of their family in 2008 when she followed them to their home from the park, even though Jeremy's mother, Erica is allergic to cats, the family has welcomed her and since then, Tara has been protective to their son. Meanwhile, the attacking dog has been surrendered by its owner after the attack and was in quarantine and will be euthanized, Bakersfield police say. The owner of the animal also said that it didn't like children or bicycles.
Meanwhile, Jeremy according to his father is now safe and well. As the surveillance video became a YouTube sensation for a while, the local minor league baseball team known as the Bakersfield Blaze, has invited the cat, who is now considered a hero after attacking the dog to throw the first pitch in a game on May 20, according to Philip Guiry, assistant general manager for the Blaze.
