Video of Jay-Z being attacked in the elevator has surfaced recently leaving confusion as to what triggered the encounter between him and Beyonce's sister, but this time, they are breaking their silence as they released a statement.
The elevator fight that occurred at the after party of Met Gala was a big shocker. It was reported that a family feud just happened in the elevator between rapper Jay-Z and his sister-in-law, Solange Knowles. A surveillance video has been publicly released showing how Beyonce's younger sister attacked Jay-Z when they attend the after party of Met Gala in Standard Hotel's Boom Boom Room.
As different theories were made after the rumored attack, the family is now breaking their silence. The attack video, which was leaked by an employee of the hotel, who was subsequently fired, has been posted by TMZ in their website. In the footage, Solange was seen yelling and kicking Jay-Z in the elevator.
It was also shown that a man standing in the front of the elevator grabbed Solange to subdue her while her sister Beyonce watches them trying to stay out of the fight, but she eventually stepped in between the two. With an attempt of breaking their silence regarding the issue, their family has released an exclusive statement to The Associated Press. According to them, the feud between the two family members was already settled.
The official statement also said that Jay and Solange have assumed their share of responsibility with what happened and that they already apologized to each other. Furthermore, they also highlighted that they are already moving on as a united family. In breaking their silence, they also clarified that rumors saying that Solange was intoxicated or displaying erratic behavior during the event was extremely false.
As part of breaking their silence over the issue, the statement released in the press also hoped that as their family puts the incident behind, everyone will also do the same. The real reason that triggered the elevator attack was not officially revealed.
