MANE GETS 39 MONTHS, PLEADS GUILTY TO GUN POSSESSION

Mane gets 39 months in jail for gun possession. According to TMZ, rapper Gucci Mane has pleaded guilty for possessing a firearm. Now, Mane gets 39 months in prison as prosecutors reportedly want him to stay in jail 'til late 2016.

According to a plea deal, the rapper Mane gets 39 months behind bars in exchange for a gun possession charge. The 34-year-old pleaded guilty to a federal firearms charge by a convicted felon on Tuesday.

Mane's actual name is Radric Davis. A report by CNN says that he was advised by his legal team to accept a plea agreement that would have spared him up to 20 years in prison and a fine of $500,000. This charge suposedly carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in jail. However, hard-core rapper Mane gets 39 months instead because of his plea deal. This is minus 10 months credit for time served.

Gucci has been reportedly locked up in ATL since Sept. 12 of last year after he has been arrested for carrying a loaded handgun and marijuana. During that time, before Mane gets 39 months in jail, he was still a convicted felon. Two days later on Sept. 14, Mane was once again caught carrying a different revolver. According to News One, Mane's guns were loaded during both busts. He also reportedly behaved erratically, even threatening police officers and his lawyer.

Reports say the young rapper has met with the law several times in the past. His rap sheet reportedly goes as far back as 2001. His offenses range from running the gamut from violence to drugs to guns to traffic offenses. In 2011, he was arrested for reckless driving and faced possible revocation of his probation from a previous crime.

According to Mane's legal team during that time, Mane was unable "to go forward and/or intelligently participate in the probation revocation hearing." An occasional actor, he was previously ordered by a judge to enter a mental health facility for evaluation. He was released a few weeks later.

Before Mane gets 39 months in jail, last year he made headlines for reportedly breaking a bottle over the head of an army soldier who had recently been deployed to Afghanistan. The soldier was celebrating his birthday at an Atlanta nightclub and asked Mane for an autograph when the rapper went berserk. Mane reportedly ran from the scene after the fallout.

Mane gets 39 months and News One reports that the official sentencing for the federal firearms charge is on Jul. 28. In addition to a 39-month jail sentence, the hot-headed rapper is also facing a fine of up to $250,000.
