Rescuers on Monday were on the move as they try to search for survivors after tornados in Arkansas hit on Sunday. According to Reuters report, at least 10 people were found dead in the central Faulkner County while there are four more across the state. The community of the entire state is now facing the aftermath of the strong storm that almost cost their lives.
It was almost three years that tornados in Arkansas have devastated the Little Rock suburb of Vilonia but now, it has come again. The tornado touched down about seven in the evening of Sunday about ten miles west of Little Rock but eventually grew wide for half a mile and stayed on the ground for its entire route. As the disaster occurred, many emergency response teams are having problems of reaching the areas due to the down power lines and trees were torn.
The tornados in Arkansas brought great damage to the state. There were shredded cars, ripped houses, damaged properties and lives were even lost. Among the damaged property in the state was the new $14 million intermediate school that had been set to open this fall.
The National Weather Service in North Little Rock said that the tornados in Arkansas on Sunday would be rated to be the nation's strongest twister this year.
