Valerie Harper Health Condition Brings the Actress into a $2 Million Worth Lawsuit

Valerie Harper health condition is now again the talk of the town after the actress was sued by a Broadway producer for not revealing her terminal condition.

The veteran actress has previously revealed her battle with a life-threatening condition which included cancer that eventually spread to her brain. Her condition that was considered terminal and has no cure however was reported to be overcome by the actress. Medical results relating to Valerie Harper's health has been progressing positively but this time, another battle concerning her health has come after being sued by a Broadway producer.

Reports involving the 'Rhoda' star in a lawsuit surfaced the media recently. According to TMZ, the actress is currently facing a $2 million worth of lawsuit after being charged by producer Matthew Lombardo. Valerie Harper's health has been the main cause of the filed charges against her.

The Broadway producer filed a $2 million lawsuit to the actress and her husband Tony Cacciotti for hiding the real condition of the star. According to Daily News, a suit was filed by Lombardo in Manhattan Federal Court after the actress did not tell him about her failing health. He also claimed that he didn't know of the actress' battle against lung cancer in 2009 until Harper released her autobiography in 2012.

Valerie Harper has a starring role in the Broadway production 'Looped' when she was diagnosed with a terminal brain cancer in 2013. In the production, she plays the role of Hollywood legend Tallulah Bankhead wherein she gained a Tony nomination. Another thing about the lawsuit concerning about Valerie Harper health status is that the playwright producer had an estimated loss of about $500,000 after being informed upon a short notice.

The lawsuit may sound ridiculous for some but it is really on the process. In addition to the previous reports, Lombardo and other producers of the play are also suing for an additional $1.5 million. Valerie Harper health issues have been reported to cause problems to the show since her diagnosis was made. The actress was said to be exhibiting slurred speech and memory loss.
