Ex-Blue Angels leader Gregory Mcwherter is complained of sexual harassment, and because of this he has been reassigned. The former commander of the elite Blue Angels, Gregory Mcwherter's case is currently being investigated by the Navy. The Navy said in a news release Wednesday that the ex-Blue Angels leader reportedly accepted a work environment which violated military policies against sexual harassment.

After leaving the Navy's elite flight demonstration squad in Pensacola, Florida in 2012, Capt. Gregory McWherter has just recently been relieved from duty as second-in-command at a California naval base. Because the ex-Blue Angels leader allegedly tolerated a sexually aggravating work environment, he has been reassigned.

The Navy said the allegations against the the ex-Blue Angels leader occurred more than two years ago. McWherter, the ex-Blue Angels leader, allegedly allowed, and shockingly even encouraged "lewd speech, inappropriate comments, and sexually explicit humor" at work, according to the Navy's statement.

In addition to this allegation, there are reports that the ex-Blue Angels leader allowed pornographic pictures to be shared at the office and in electronic communication devices.

Early Thursday morning, CNN has tried to reach McWherter for comments, but the news network hasn't heard from the ex-Blue Angels leader.

This case with the ex-Blue Angels leader is a latest one which includes a U.S. military commander. The investigation on the ex-Blue Angels leader is for violating sexual harassment policies and couldn't have come at a much worse time when many have blamed the military for not taking charge with sex crimes and harassment against women.

Vice Administrator David Buss, commander of the Naval Air Forces said, "All Navy leaders, whether assigned to a highly visible unit like the 'Blues,' or to our installations, squadrons, ships and submarines, are held to the highest standards."

The reassignment of the ex-Blue Angels leader was first reported by The Washington Post Wednesday.

Though unspecified when exactly, the Navy's statement said someone filed a complaint with the Navy inspector general about the sexual harassment case of the ex-Blue Angels leader.

McWherter, was relieved as executive officer of Naval Base Coronado in San Diego on Friday after "additional details" were revealed during the investigation of the alleged atmosphere around the Blue Angels during the time of the ex-Blue Angels leader.

Ex-Blue Angels leader investigation conveniently came a month after a former top U.S. commander in Afghanistan evaded prison with a case that put the military's handling of sexual misconduct among troops on spotlight.
